SMART is recruiting an education consultant to be based in Madrid, Spain. Reporting to the manager, business development, you will be responsible for building relationships with local school and district administrators, and providing both pre- and post-sale support for adoption of SMART products.
Your responsibilities will include the following:

Making contact and establishing relationships with top administrators in local school districts, and acting as a liaison with marketing and local distributors regarding opportunities, educational issues and market information

Assessing the needs of each district with input from building or district administrators

Assisting school administrators with curriculum-integration planning, technology-integration planning and teacher-development planning

Developing and delivering support programmes and events for Regional ICT Advisory Agencies, Local Education Authorities and School Directors with the goal of building awareness, influencing action and fostering active professional learning communities

Providing district administrators with introductions to and overviews of SMART training services, professional development programs and curriculum resources

Assisting with the strategic planning, development and execution of marketing activities designed to support the growth of the business throughout the region

Providing or arranging for SMART product demonstrations

Providing support to top district administrators for tracking and reporting results

Identifying and helping develop additional sales opportunities
-
Coordinating and executing group discussions and conferences that bring together SMART customers in your region to share best practices and learn about new SMART products and offerings
Identifying key teachers within your territory as potential SMART Exemplary Educators, and those who can assist in developing professional learning communities

Contributing SMART Notebook software files, and providing input to the education consultant community

Assisting channel in the development of their business, in particular the mentoring of their internal education consultants

Working with marketing and product management teams at SMART to develop resources and provide training so that local resellers are capable of representing SMART effectively within the education market

Attending, moderating and participating in assigned forums to ensure a strong awareness of current and prospective educational trends and issues

Identifying priority districts and local sources of funding for classroom technology and work with SMART’s Spanish distributor to ensure that local purchasing authorities are aware of how these sources can be used to fund ICT purchases

Understanding and reporting local education issues to SMART

Collaborating with colleagues in training and product management to ensure that information from end-users is communicated through the proper channels to the appropriate departments at SMART and SMART’s Spanish distributor.
