Take up the challenge of joining a leading manufacturer of pneumatics and motion control products as Finance Controller in Castro Urdiales.
The company has an extensive history of generating innovative concepts and technological breakthroughs and operates globally, with over 1000 sales points worldwide, 200 of them in Europe. Your mission will consist of being in charge of the company’s financial and administrative management, ensuring adequate internal controls are in place to safeguard the company’s assets as well as its reputation, acting as a business partner of the other departments by providing guidance and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy.
This role entails financial and management accounting duties, such as: timely and accurate production of US GAAP Financial Statements, PORs and Weekly reports, Local Budgets; leading the implementation and monitoring of Internal Controls as defined by Internal Audit (ICQs); being in charge of all aspects of Financial accounting, ensuring the integrity of Balance Sheet and Income Statement; managing the Planning activities including Strategy Review, Profit Review and Budgets; being in charge of producing the Statutory accounts; ensuring support for Business Decision Making through costing and price analysis; ensuring appropriate cash management is in place to meet company’s targets (including Capital Expenditure as well as disbursements); monitoring and driving actions to improve Trade Working Capital and ultimately, Return On Total Capital; supporting and giving advice to the profit center managers by providing guidance on Key Financial Indicators as well as building up Key Process Indicators.
The finance controller will also have team management related duties like supervising and driving the performance of the team focusing on added value activities; ensuring the department remains motivated, business continuity is guaranteed at all times and developing talent within the organization. For this position our client seeks candidates with university degree and minimum five years of progressive industry experience in Finance function in International environment (factories), used to reporting to multinational managing teams. English is a must, as well as excellent knowledge of Spanish and US GAAP Standards.
Candidates should also be skilled in communication, negotiation, leadership, general management and project management and have good knowledge of Office and ERPs. Regarding attitude, should be problem solving, have analytical skills and have verbal and written communication skills.
This role is based in Castro Urdiales, reporting directly to the Vice President Finance EMEA.
